New PROs

ISDA is working in the field of social interaction with the emerging professions project, whose goal is to create quality jobs and training for the profession of diving guide or diving instructor for natives of countries in the developing world, laying the foundation for the livelihood of local communities and the creation of new induced.

Currently, the project involves the following locations:

•  Gangga Island – Sulawesi

•  Bali

There is an ISDA center in each of these places which employs many local kids, mostly as helpers. Each center has 2-3 boys who, for their knowledge skills and abilities, deserve to become guides and/or instructors.

These boys can follow the ISDA course, receive educational materials of the course, and do an on-site examination with an ISDA Instructor/Trainer for free.

For them the transition from assistant to Help Guide to Instructor means a lot. First of all, it means that they will earn about twice as much (ridiculous salaries for us, but important to them!) and will be able to support their families. It also means having someone who believes in them and having the chance to demonstrate their ability to work well in a country where this possibility is denied to many.
